Engineered solutions, practical execution
Pressure Vessel Design & Documentation
Designed a compressed air receiver pressure vessel from concept, through to verified design and drawings. Determining dimensions, geometry, environmental suitability, selected materials and fabrication proceedures, checked key pressure and load cases and produced a final set of manufacture ready drawings according to Australian standards.

Mechatronic Ball Capture System
Developed a mechatronics ball capture system that retains, guides and delivers a number of various sized balls during operation. Focused on repeatability, fast diagnosis and serviceability for competition use.
Planetary Gearbox Design & Prototype
Designed and prototyped a compact 3:1 planetary gearbox, taking it from concept CAD through to a functional 3D printed assembly. I modelled the full geartrain and housing, set the gear geometry to achieve a true 3:1 ratio, designed the carrier and ring retention features and built it as a print ready prototype with practical clearances producing smooth rotation and easy assembly.
Shopmate Cutting Planner
Built a workshop stock cutting planner that takes available stock lengths and a required cut list then generates an optimised cut plan with kerf allowance. It minimises offcut waste and reduces time spent manually configuring cut orders, with a fast table based UI, import and export of saved jobs, unit prefix handling and a print friendly PDF layout diagram for quick printing in the shop. This tool will carry across many future builds such as work benches, trolleys and general steel fabrication jobs, and it can be used for any 1 dimensional stock material.
Helical Extending Lamp
Developed a proof of concept helical extending desk lamp, exploring a compacting design featuring a curved sliding arm for smooth height adjustment. Produced CAD drawings alongside dynamic animations to demonstrate the range of motion, focusing on mechanism feasibility and visual form rather than a manufacture ready design.
RMIT HIVE Rocket Test Stand
Built and assembled a static rocket engine test stand with a linear rail mounting pad and a force gauge to capture thrust vs time during hot fires. I handled the precision cutting, fitting and assembly. The stand supported repeatable testing and demonstrations of hybrid rocket work including an oxygen capable rig and 3D printed fuel grains plus nozzle technology demos for RMIT Rocket Team and aerospace students.

Welding Shop Trolley
Designed and fabricated a wheelable welding trolley to suit MIG, TIG and stick setups, with a chained gas bottle restraint, lockable castors and a dedicated torch and gun holster for safe storage and quick access.
Walnut Home Desk
Designed a steel and timber desk from concept through to build planning, balancing aesthetics with stiffness, weight and practical everyday loading. Validated the structure with deflection and stress checks, selected surface finishes for durability and produced CAD plus rendered visualisations to lock in proportions and details ahead of fabrication. I am planning to manufacture and assemble the desk as a finished piece.
